How do I optimize extrusion cuts?
Set the bar length as stock and enter each cut length at the profile’s nominal height. The optimizer packs the cuts along each 6 m bar.
What lengths does extrusion come in?
Typically 6 m; some profiles come in 3 m or 4 m. Enter your supplier’s lengths.
What happens to short offcuts?
Any drop too small to hold one of your pieces is left as waste automatically. Use the edge-trim setting if you also want to shave a rough end off each bar before cutting.
