Free CNC nesting for plywood, with DXF export
A CNC router can cut parts from anywhere on the sheet, so they can pack tighter than saw cuts allow. Set your bit diameter as the kerf, and Board Beaver nests your rectangular parts onto the sheet — then export the layout as DXF or SVG.
No signup. Kerf 1/4 in · stock 96×48 in preset — change anything you like.

CNC Plywood Nesting FAQ
What should I set the kerf to for a CNC?
Your bit diameter — ¼" is common. Add a part gap if you want extra room for tabs or onion-skinning on top of the bit width.
Can it nest irregular shapes from a DXF?
Not yet. It nests rectangles; DXF import reads each part as its bounding box, which works for rectangular and near-rectangular parts.
How do I get the layout into my CAM software?
Export the nested sheet as DXF or SVG and import it into your CAM program to add toolpaths.
