MDF Cut Optimizer FAQ
Does MDF have a grain direction?
No — MDF has no grain, so you can leave rotation on for every part, which usually gives a tighter layout and less waste.
What sheet size is standard for MDF?
2440×1220 mm (8×4 ft) is the common size; 3050×1220 and 2750×1830 are also sold. Enter the size you buy.
How much kerf for MDF?
About 3 mm for a standard blade. MDF is dense, so use a clean crosscut blade and set your real kerf.
