Decorative melamine often has a directional woodgrain print. Lock rotation for parts that must run the same way so the pattern lines up.
How do I avoid chipping melamine?
That is a blade/technique question, not a layout one — but a scoring blade and the right kerf help. Set your real kerf here so the layout is accurate.
What size melamine sheets are there?
2440×1220 mm is standard; longer 2750 and 3050 mm sheets exist for tall cabinet sides. Add whatever you buy.
