Laser Cutting Nesting FAQ
What kerf does a laser cutter have?
Usually 0.1–0.3 mm depending on power, material and thickness. Setting it right lets parts nest as tightly as your machine allows.
Does it export DXF for the laser?
Not yet — it gives you the optimized layout and cut list. DXF import/export is on the roadmap.
Rectangular only?
For now, yes — ideal for panels, plates and blanks. Irregular-shape nesting is planned.
